Rusty McDonald
President
Chief Executive Officer
When Rusty entered the asphalt industry back in 1995, he spotted an opportunity to fill a real gap in the market by providing comprehensive services for building and maintaining parking lots. His goal was simple: make every project as straightforward and hassle-free as possible for his clients. Rusty's entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive AMI's vision and growth, but what really sets the company apart is his unwavering commitment to reliability and trustworthiness. He believes that success isn't just measured in completed projects, but in the relationships built and the trust earned along the way. Under Rusty's leadership, AMI has grown from a single vision into a company that businesses can count on for quality work and dependable service. His hands-on approach and dedication to doing right by every client remains the foundation on which AMI stands.

Cindi Baxter
Chief Integration Officer
Chief Human Resources Officer
With over 30 years of business management and leadership experience, Cindi drives our company's vision and strategic goals forward, managing our four key business functions including Sales, Marketing, & Estimating, Finance, Operations, and Human Resources. In her dual roles of EOS Integrator and CHRO, Cindi plays a crucial role in keeping all departments aligned and working toward our shared objectives. Her passion for safety and commitment to strategic planning makes her instrumental in AMI's continued growth and success. Cindi's dedication to the company culture and her ability to bring teams together truly embodies what it means to be "Team AMI." When it comes to keeping AMI running smoothly and staying focused on our core values, she is the driving force behind it all.

Jack McDonald
Vice President
Jack is a second-generation AMI employee who's taken a hands-on approach to learning the business from the ground up. He has worked his way through each division at the company, spending time with different crews to gain a thorough understanding of their trades and how our entire operation works together. This comprehensive approach gives him real insight into what it takes to deliver quality results on every project. Now Jack is applying all that field experience to site analyses, estimating, business development, and the leadership team, bringing both practical knowledge and fresh perspective to these critical areas. With his Master's Degree in Business and deep understanding of AMI's operations, he's perfectly positioned to help drive the company's continued growth.

Ashley Cefalo
Chief Financial Officer
Ashley brings a unique combination of skills to AMI with both accounting and mathematics degrees backing up her analytical approach to business. She's been working in the construction industry for over most of her career, building experience across accounting, human resources, and operations management that makes her incredibly versatile. Ashley directly manages our payables, receivables, customer billing, and contracts, while also handling our IT needs to keep our financial and operational systems running smoothly. What really sets Ashley apart is her love for the ever-changing atmosphere of the construction industry - she thrives on the variety and challenges that come with each new day. Her analytical mind and diverse experience make her our go-to "problem solver" when complex issues arise.

Sam Kingsfield
Operations Manager
Sam's extensive field operations experience, from managing large asphalt and general contracting companies, gives him a unique perspective on how to run efficient and successful projects. He has a thorough knowledge of blueprints, codes, and regulations, plus hands-on expertise in underground utilities, grading, paving, rock quarries, asphalt plants, and all the other specialized work that goes into our industry. At AMI, Sam focuses on quality control, project management, and safety, making sure every job meets our high standards from start to finish. What really stands out about Sam is how he leads his teams with both professionalism and genuine passion for the work. His experience managing large-scale operations combined with his attention to detail makes him invaluable to our field operations.​

Addison Bostick
Accounting Clerk
Addison’s responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, and timekeeping, and any other areas that need her expertise. Focused on accuracy and efficiency, she's the go-to person for all general accounting duties. Known for her positive attitude, willingness to jump in wherever needed, and ability to learn quickly, Addison works closely with customers, vendors, and our internal team to resolve issues and tackle special projects that keep AMI's financial operations running smoothly. Currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree, she's committed to continuous improvement and bringing her best to everything she does at AMI.​

Nancy Martin
Accounting Coordinator
Nancy serves as AMI's Accounting Coordinator, bringing her extensive career in accounting to focus primarily on managing our payables with precision and reliability. She's the behind-the-scenes professional who ensures that all of AMI's financial obligations are properly accounted for and handled in a timely manner. With her understanding of accounting processes and attention to detail, Nancy keeps our financial operations running smoothly day in and day out. Nancy's dedication to accuracy and her reliable approach to managing our payables gives everyone at AMI confidence that our financial responsibilities are in excellent hands.​​

Skylie Roberts
Staff Accountant
With over eight years of comprehensive accounting experience and deep construction industry roots, Skylie Roberts brings a unique blend of financial expertise and hands-on field knowledge to every project.
Skylie holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting Information Systems, Auditing & Controls, complemented by a Certificate of Completion in Construction Management. This educational foundation, combined with her upbringing in a family-owned construction business, has given her an invaluable understanding of the industry from both operational and financial perspectives.

Andrew Offen
Estimator
Andrew brought valuable experience from a related construction industry, which gave him a solid foundation to build on when he joined the AMI team. His tenure as a Site Analyst provided him with deep insight into how projects come together from the ground up. This combination of outside industry experience and hands-on AMI knowledge makes Andrew particularly effective at creating customer proposals that are both solution-oriented and cost-effective. Andrew is a master communicator, and he understands what customers need and how to deliver it within their budget constraints.​​

Anna Ravesloot
Estimating Coordinator
Anna serves as our Estimating Coordinator. She also handles job scheduling with our customers, bringing her natural enthusiasm and positive energy to every interaction. Her proactive approach to daily operations really sets the tone in our office. What makes Anna special is how she combines professional expertise with genuine care for our customers and team members alike. Anna's combination of industry knowledge, scheduling skills, and that Tennessee hospitality makes her the perfect person to keep our customer relationships running smoothly.

Finnegan DuBois
Estimator
After earning his business degree, Finn brought his competitive drive to AMI, initially as a Site Analyst. His progression through our estimating department has been impressive - he quickly mastered the Site Analyst role, then moved up to estimating assistant, and is now working as a full-time estimator. Finn's background taught him the value of preparation and attention to detail, skills that translate perfectly to creating accurate project estimates. What really sets Finn apart is his team-first attitude - he doesn't just want to win for himself, he wants to win for AMI and for our customers too. His competitive spirit combined with his business education gives him a unique perspective on finding solutions that work for everyone involved.

Zane Potter
Site Analyst
With a Master's in Business Administration under his belt, Zane made the transition from banking to construction which gives him a unique perspective that's proving invaluable. He's able to combine his finance skills with hands-on construction knowledge to help ensure projects are both technically sound and financially successful. Zane brings fresh energy and analytical thinking to our team. His banking experience taught him attention to detail and risk assessment, skills that translate perfectly to analyzing construction sites and project feasibility.​

Darrell Branam
Superintendent
Darrell brings over 40 years of asphalt paving expertise to AMI. He began his career in 1984 in Knoxville, quickly mastering all asphalt equipment within his first year. Throughout his career, Darrell has progressed from laborer to foreman to superintendent, leading major interstate and infrastructure projects across the Southeast, including I-75, I-285, I-85, McGee Tyson Airport, Atlanta Airport, Fort Campbell, and numerous military base installations.
His extensive hands-on experience with complex paving operations, combined with his proven leadership on large-scale highway reconstruction and airport projects, makes him an invaluable asset to AMI's paving division. Darrell's deep understanding of every aspect of asphalt operations—from equipment operation to project supervision—ensures quality execution and efficient project delivery.

David Bryant
Superintendent
David is a highly motivated Concrete Superintendent who brings over 30 years of hands-on experience in concrete finishing, asphalt paving, and milling to the AMI Construction team. He's proven himself as an exceptional leader, successfully managing large crews and complex projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. What really sets David apart is his commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget - something our clients have come to expect.​

Jerry Donathan
Superintendent
Doh brings unmatched expertise to AMI Construction's milling operations. Starting as an 18-year-old flagger, he has worked his way through every aspect of road construction, developing an in-depth understanding that "milling is essentially paving in reverse." His approach centers on attention to detail, anticipating challenges, and critical thinking to deliver quality projects the first time. As Milling Superintendent, Jerry oversees road construction projects while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction. He takes pride in every task and loves working outdoors with heavy equipment, serving as a mentor to the next generation of skilled workers.

Patrick Hester
Superintendent
Patrick brings exceptional depth and expertise to his role as Grading Superintendent at AMI. His career trajectory provides him with an unparalleled understanding of every aspect of large-scale construction projects. Patrick's extensive project portfolio includes major infrastructure work at Cincinnati International Airport and Indianapolis International Airport, as well as numerous KDOT and TDOT interstate projects throughout his career. His hands-on experience across all construction roles, combined with his proven track record of delivering award-winning infrastructure projects, makes him an invaluable asset to AMI's operations.

Anslee Batson
Recruiting Coordinator
Anslee's passion is making genuine connections with people, which makes her a natural fit for Human Resources - especially when it comes to recruiting new talent. Her high energy and "get it done" attitude serve her incredibly well as she helps recruit, onboard, train, and retain our most valuable resource: our employees. Anslee understands that building a strong team starts with finding the right people and making sure they feel welcomed and supported from day one. Lead Generator
With over 9½ years as a Milling Application Specialist and Field Service Engineer for the Wirtgen Group, combined with a 20-year US Army career in maintenance operations, Frank brings a unique combination of construction industry expertise and proven talent development skills that directly translate to lead generation excellence for AMI. Having worked directly with field personnel, project managers, and equipment operators on active job sites, he possesses the industry credibility and practical knowledge needed to identify prospects and communicate AMI's value proposition authentically.
