For starters, we recommend sealcoating your asphalt surface one month after the installation, and then every 2-3 years after. We also recommend making it a habit to inspect your asphalt surface weekly for any debris, dirt, stains, or weeds. 4 - What Are the Benefits of Asphalt Paving?

Properly-laid asphalt provides a good first impression of your business, provides a comfortable & predictable surface for foot and wheelchair traffic, provides a smooth and consistent surface for vehicle traffic while also minimising the risk of costly vehicle maintenance. 7 - What is Asphalt Seal-Coating?

Asphalt seal-coating is a preventative treatment that helps to ensure the maximum longevity of the asphalt surface, by providing a protective barrier against gas, water, salt, and oil. It helps to seal small cracks that could become larger if not treated. Seal-coating also helps keep water from permeating the asphalt. In addition, it restores the dark colour of the fresh asphalt.

8 - How Often Should I Seal-Coat My Surface?

After a new paving job, you should wait until the asphalt surface is completely cured (which typically takes about a year) until you seal-coat it. Then after the first seal-coat, seal-coating should be performed every 2-3 years.
